What we collect

MATEY stores a random session ID in your browser's local storage to track your personal best across visits. If you play a game, we store your score, puzzle results, and solve times. No personal information is collected unless you create an account (email only, used for magic link sign-in).

Cookies

MATEY uses localStorage only. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics cookies, no advertising.

Data deletion

Clear your browser's local storage to remove all MATEY data from your device. Your server-side run history is anonymous and cannot be traced back to you.

Puzzles

Chess puzzles are sourced from the Lichess puzzle database, licensed under CC0 (public domain).
